First beating Ax.Heart in the quarterfinals, then EG.Oz in the semis, and finally IM.ByuL in the grand finals, our Choi "Polt" Seong Hun has been crowned the WCS America champion once again. During the last season of Blizzard's World Championship Series, Polt defeated Oz, Liquid.TaeJa, and finally EG.Jaedong to take his first WCS AM title.Originally in Group A during the Ro32, Polt first defeated both EG.Revival and ROOT.Sage 2-1 to qualify for the Ro16 where he would then defeat ByuL 2-1 and IvD.Apocalypse 2-0.

Polt is considered one of the most consistent competitive players in all of SC2, especially after the release of Heart of the Swarm. Even before the season 2 WCS AM championship, Polt won the MLG Spring SC2 tournament at MLG Anaheim against Quantic's HyuN. In an earlier interview here on the CMStorm news section, Polt talked about his thoughts on WCS and described how he's able to juggle school and training as well shared his thoughts regarding his more difficult opponents and matchups.

The praise for Polt by the community has been exceptionally high after his tournament win. Many marveled at the fact that Polt is still this strong with Terran even after the nerf to Hellbats and Widow Mines. Other commentated how only a player of Polt's caliber can balance school and winning tournaments so effectively. One thing everyone can agree on though is that Polt has certainly solidified himself as one of the best Terran players in the world right now.
