Sue Lee

Interviewer, Host, AND Translator. What else can you want?

Sue "Smix" Lee's love for gaming began when she was just a little girl, trying to spend time with her older brother by watching him play numerous different games growing up. One of those games was Starcraft: Broodwar, and when she discovered there was a professional scene in South Korea in 2008, she became a part of the community of foreign fans who stayed up into late hours of the night to watch the games live. Wanting to help the community out, she began to translate interviews and articles, and thus established herself as an integral part of the community.

Once Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty came out, Sue was recommended to translate for IGN Proleague 3, one of the biggest Starcraft 2 tournaments that was running at the time. After her work for IPL 3, she has since worked with many different organizations, including MLG, IEM, Dream Hack, Red Bull, GameSpot, and onGamers. She initially began as just a translator but has since expanded her work to include hosting, emceeing, and working as an on-camera talent.

Sue graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in Anthropology and Psychology and a minor in Korean language and literature. In her spare time, she enjoys streaming on playing many games, including Starcraft 2, League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Steam games. She has also released various Starcraft 2 parody songs and is the voice of the popular replay saving program, SC2 Gears.
